  • Be between 19 and 50 years of age.
  • With or without disabilities.
  • Employed or unemployed.
  • Intend to study full-time or part-time.
  • Have completed Grade 12, or be students already enrolled at accredited higher education institutions.
  • Priority is given to individuals accepted to study at public institutions in the City of Cape Town.


The VEBF provides financial support covering:

  • Up to R40,000.00 for tuition fees.
  • Up to R5,000.00 for prescribed materials.
