SAMA Bursary

sama bursary

SAMA, the short for South African Medical Association, is a non-profit company of professional and non-statutory association for the medical practitioners – both in the private or public sector. The company was founded on the 21st of May 1998 and registered in Companies Act terms, along with the Labour Relations Act. SAMA is basically a voluntary membership association that unifies different groups of doctors with various interests. The bursary program was created to support any South African citizens wanting to attend medical schools but it is only used to fund medical-related studies, such as MBChB pre-graduate studies or anything equal to such a degree. The provided funds depend on the availability and only apply to South African citizens. Those with historically disadvantaged background are encouraged to apply, where participants are still allowed to hold any supplementary grants or scholarships. Any interested applicants can provide their email contact info, phone, address, and full name, along with legal documented copies of South African citizenship. A resume with past volunteer experience and education is an additional point. All the completed documents should be sent before the 30th of September 2016. Any interested South African students can check the official website at https://www.samedical.org/ so they can view the SAMA complete requirements and procedures.
