There are several things you need to know before applying though. Only South African citizens who are currently studying or intending to study full time with valid ID number can apply for the bursary. Aside from that, Illovo will only fund those with minimally a “B” symbol in Matric Science and Mathematics. You also must be qualified for university or University of Technology or TVET. And even students who have completed one or two years of the study can apply. And lastly, if you want to apply, you can only apply for the fields of studies that have been offered by the bursary.
