SARS (South African Revenue Service) bursary is a program provided to students with excellent academic ability interested in finance, especially taxation. SARS is the government agency in South Africa responsible for managing the tax collection and administration in the country. They are working together with Career Wise to provide this program to students wanting to learn more about taxation and develop a further career in the field. SARS bursaries are given to some of the following fields of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, metallurgy engineering, civil engineering, electronic or heavy current electrical engineering, geology, computer science, information systems, chemistry, mining engineering, and much more.

The basic requirements include permanent residence of South Africa studying (or having intention to study) the undergraduate level. The applicants should provide the proof that they need financial assistance. Those wanting to study accounting, science, geology, or engineering degree should achieve score at least 6 in math and science subjects. Any interested applicants should send certified copy of the ID, passport size color photo, certified copy of academic result, and probably other additional requirements. Applications should be submitted before the 30th of May, annually. Online submission is encouraged.
