MerSETA Bursaries

MerSETA is an organization of the Sector Education and Training Authorities to advertise/promote and also, increase skills development of South Africa. Especially for those with disadvantaged backgrounds. MerSETA includes these following subjects: Engineering, Manufacturing and Related Services. But the only field of study they offer for bursary is Engineering. Specifically: BSc Engineering, BSc Engineering Chemical, BSc Engineering Metallurgy and Materials, BSc Engineering (Industrial) Universities of Technology programs, BTech Production Management; and BSc Mechanical Engineering (including Mechatronics), National Diploma Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Metallurgy; Mechanical Engineering (including Mechatronics); Industrial Engineering; Production Management, B. Technology Chemical Engineering; Electrical Engineering, Engineering Metallurgy and Polymer Technology. The bursaries are intended for South African citizen only, aside from SA citizens, you won’t get the bursary. You must pass a minimum average of 60% as well – it’s better if you achieve more though, it will be your strong point to get past the other applicants. The information regarding the bursary is not included but, we’re assuming the bursary will cover your college tuition, accommodation and meals fees, and more so, you don’t need to think about finance anymore.
